The collective impact / GO’s historical event programs
Across GO’s historical home tours, community events, and promotional programs, several hundred thousand attendees came together to discover homes, experience communities, and imagine what was possible.

Austin, Texas / 1993

Sponsored by the Texas Capital Area Builders Association, the September 11–26 tour benefited Project Promise of Austin and public schools in the Austin Independent School District.

Weston Lakes / Houston region
Seven show homes. Lakeside settings. The Hale Irwin golf course. The Grand Home Tour gave visitors a firsthand introduction to life at Weston Lakes, with admission benefiting Easter Seals.

The community’s grand opening campaign also invited visitors to discover Weston Lakes from October 27 through November 4, 1990—introducing the homes, landscape, and lifestyle through a coordinated public event.

Houston, Texas / 2006

The promotion connected the Astros’ home-game season with a series of Long Ball Challenges and a finale at Minute Maid Park on September 24, 2006.

From the GO event portfolio
Part of GO’s history of home-tour programs, The 5-Star Home Tour brought prospective homebuyers together around the experience of visiting homes in person. It reflects a lasting principle of community marketing: give people the opportunity to see, experience, and connect with a place.
Greatwood / Houston region
Presented by the Houston Chronicle, Celebrate the Rate was a special interest home show at Greatwood. The September 12–13 event paired home tours with builder interest-rate buydowns, making financing part of the reason to visit.
The original campaign promoted more than 40 available homes across Greatwood’s neighborhoods—connecting a timely financial opportunity with an on-site homebuying experience.

Custom homes / Clear Lake, Texas
More than 800 attendees came together for a sneak preview custom home event in Clear Lake, Texas.
